Web marketplace for Freight Logistics

Management of good deliveries is the core of this app. As a customer you can declare a new potential load of goods you need to be transported. As a transporter you can access the list of loads that  need to be transported, select one of them and apply. After that the customer can accept the offer, go through with the payment, track the delivery information, check the invoices, query delivery, rate the transporter and the job in general, and plenty more features.

In this project we’ve been actively studying existing concurrence, what are they using what would work in the country we’re deploying the system, what won’t work for sure. What concepts are people in the field familiar about. After gathering all this data and discussions with our client we’ve came up with this particular solution.

For the website we’re using a combination of Angular with Bootstrap and on the back-end we have .NET Core. We’ve started by using Google Maps, but then quickly realizing we’ll use the map all the time and it will be costly to use, so for maps we’re using Mapbox and OpenStreetMaps APIs using Leaflet for the map component itself.

The solution was just deployed but we’re already seeing an increased interest for this web app and we hope that in a few months we’ll be able to talk about the results in Blog
